About The New Dawn Singers:
The New Dawn Singers Inc. is a traveling group that performs wholesome, family entertainment shows. The group is made up of talented college age performers that have toured throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Jamaica, and even into the Bahamas. Each member commits one year of his or her time to travel across the country bringing top quality entertainment shows to thousands of people.
The group performs in many different places throughout the country. They bring a high energy, Broadway style show full of song and dance, brilliant lighting and spectacular special effects, a superb sound system, glittering costumes, and a great message woven throughout the show that America still lives on and so does her people.
The songs are carefully chosen to give a wide variety of music that America is known for such as old time favorites from the early 20’s and 30’s, Broadway tunes, movie themes, country, ‘50s & 60s, and a fabulous patriotic salute to our great country.
There are also many different styles of dance in the show including jazz, tap, ballet, swing, Irish dance, hip-hop, and modern.
The New Dawn Singers was started in 1966 by John Blake, where they traveled only on the weekends. In 1973, the group became a non-profit organization and continued on to 1977 when the group toured full time. The group has been continuing on ever since, performing in schools, churches, conventions, theaters, amusement parks, arenas, and many other places across the country.
New Dawn also performs in elementary schools where they bring a character building show teaching students how to do their best, work with others, accept each other, and make the most of their lives.
Our goal is to provide quality entertainment shows that are wholesome, exciting and uplifting the our audiences.
